BONA VISTA HILLS
BONA VISTA HILLSBona Vista Hills is a modern hillside villa in Oranjestad, Aruba. Inspired by the island’s natural topography, the design features layered horizontal volumes and generous outdoor spaces. With its sculptural geometry, natural materials and seamless indoor-outdoor flow, the villa creates a serene retreat that’s deeply connected to its surroundings.
FRAMING NATURE THROUGH ARCHITECTURE

This villa is a refined composition of concrete, stucco and glass, designed in response to its tropical terrain. Set within a lush yet arid landscape, it embraces openness and flow. Horizontal rooflines float above white volumes, with bold black accents adding contrast and rhythm.
A linear path through native planting leads to the entrance, blurring the boundary between nature and architecture. The house opens to the outdoor living area, where a water feature reflects shifting light.
Sliding black panels provide shade and privacy, while the expansive roof frames views of sky and garden. Inside, soft concrete floors, light walls, and full-height glass create a calm, seamless connection between indoors and out.
Used materials
essential
Contrasting materials and tones brought together to create a refined villa concept. In-situ concrete, concrete tiles, white stucco, and black vertical slats blend seamlessly, forming a bold and climate-conscious design for the Caribbean.
Large glass openings and deep overhangs enhance the sense of space and openness, connecting the interior with the surrounding landscape.

Simplicity is not the goal. It is the by-product of a good idea and modest expectations.
