DIORAMA

DIORAMA
HOUSE

Set within a sculpted landscape, Diorama House presents a powerful architectural gesture defined by clarity, depth and proportion. With its horizontal concrete volume hovering confidently over the terrain, the residence appears both grounded and elevated; a balance between mass and openness.

Inspired by the concept of a diorama, the design is all about framing the view. Deep reveals, rhythmic lines and layered spatial sequences guide the eye outward, turning every window into a curated glimpse of the surrounding nature. The monolithic use of in-situ concrete with textured wooden formwork gives the house a raw yet refined presence, while its minimalist expression lets the landscape take center stage.

Diorama House is not only a residence, but an experience of framed perspective, composed space and calm intensity.

LAYERED CONCRETE AS FRAMING MATERIAL

Framing views through form
PANORAMIC ARCHITECTURE

Diorama is a contraction of the Greek ”di”, meaning through and ”rama” meaning a sight or that which is seen!

The design is characterized by its concrete volume which floats over the landscape. It is executed using in-situ concrete with wooden plank formwork that provides a raw a natural look.

essential

A carefully balanced material palette defines the architectural language of Diorama House. Concrete tiles, black wooden planks, black stucco and in-situ concrete come together to create a refined yet powerful composition that responds to the natural surroundings.

The use of in-situ concrete with wooden formwork introduces texture and character, while black wooden planks add warmth and rhythm to the façade. Subtle contrasts between smooth and raw surfaces enhance the sense of depth, and large black-framed openings anchor the design in its context, framing the landscape from within.
